How To Customize Your Scrollbar

This tutorial was requested hinted by Sophia. ;)

1. Go to your blogger dashboard and select the blog you'd like to customize.
2. Go to Template >>> Customize >>> Add CSS and paste this code in the box:

::-webkit-scrollbar {
background: #ffffff;
width: 10px;
::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb {
background: #000000;
3. To customize this code, you can make the following changes:

+ Change the color code in red to customize the color that the scroll bar "slides" on.
+ Change the width code in blue to customize the width of the scroll bar as a whole (the larger the number the thicker the scroll bar).
+ Change the color code in green to customize the color of the scroll bar itself.

4. Save and view your changes.

Comment below if you have any questions. :)

Coming Soon To Your Feed

With the end of Christmas and focus change to the upcoming new year, I am pleased to be able to announce some of the many new projects I've been working on over the last few months. These have been a long time coming, so let's just get to it. :)

1. Identity change.

TMD has grown to the point where its name no longer suits it. Since my views and goals have changed, it's time to say good-bye to the beloved title Truly. Madly. Deeply. I'm going to miss this name, but it's time to move on. I want this blog to expand and form into the vision of what I truly want it to be.

With this identity change will come a new URL (which has already been established), design (almost done!) and content upgrade - which leads us to the next point.

2. New content.

My content is getting a makeover. New posts are going to be more in depth, and my old posts are going to be spruced up as well. I have a new posting schedule worked out, and lots more work to do, so please stay patient as I continue to work our the kinks of my new system. :)

3. Focus change.

I used to be the kind of blogger that was obsessed with receiving pageviews and followers (a post about this to come). Due to this obsession, I started losing focus, and blogging started to feel more like work and less like something I loved doing. After careful evaluation - and many repeated signs/reminders - I came to the fact that I was indeed a people pleaser. But learning this about myself has allowed me more insight, both to my human soul and to my blog, which has helped me reevaluate and shift my focus.

The new focus of my blog will be somewhere along the lines of expression, creativity and the journey one takes when getting to know their self (sorta kinda not really what I've been doing now, I guess).

4. Reader reward.

This blog is so close to reaching 150 readers, so as a reward I've decided to have a giveaway (whoops and cheers)! Check back in later for more details. ;)

Well, that's all for now! I hope you guys are excited for 2015 as I am. :)

What are you planning for the new year?

It's Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Sweden. With the sun rising, a soft layer of white powder lies untouched and smooth on the ground. It also rests on the branches and trunks of the tall, thin trees, gathering in mounds and layers. The scene is tranquil, a place to be peacefully solitary.

Ahh, that day is here. Everyone is in their ugly Christmas sweaters, perhaps sipping hot cocoa between bouts of family time and marathons of blasted Christmas songs. Wrappings are strewn everywhere and the atmosphere is warm and bright. Snowflakes fall to cover the ground in a blanket of white and when you look outside you realize how lucky you are because your family is nearby and you received all these new trinkets. Life is good and your soul is at peace.

I hope these are the encasing emotions you are all feeling on this wonderful, beautiful day. <3

I wish you all the Merriest of Christmases.

Haircut // Change

Hehe, I feel like such a model when I'm blinded by my camera's flash.

So as you can tell by the photos, I got my hair cut! And I absolutely love it (I was scared I wouldn't...). I was planning on going shorter - like between chin and shoulder length - but I had so much hair that it took my mom over an hour to cut it like it's shown above (there was hair EVERYWHERE - I got a good four inches cut off). I really really love it and the whole time I was waiting I couldn't help but get excited to show you guys. :)

This (sort of) brings me to the subject of change. Change is coming to Truly. Madly. Deeply. Positive, fulfilling change. I wish I could tell you more but you'll just have to wait. (Sowwy.)

Thank you so much for reading! Have a Merry Christmas (eve). :)

Six Word Stories [#40]

Your love lit my heart up.

Blogging Break

Hey readers! :)

With Christmas coming around the corner and (SO MANY) projects in need of attention, I have decided to take a miniature blogging break. I have some posts scheduled, and should be available to answer any questions you may have. But I won't be back and "heavily blogging" until some time after the new year. :)

With that said: Have a very merry Christmas. I'll see you in 2015! :)

Thank you for reading.

Six Word Stories [#39]

You ready for your life adventure?

my story.

Sometimes, I have so much to say but my mind doesn't know how to get it all out.

So I express it through actions. The way I move my hand, skip around, or even breathe...

I am always writing a new version of the same story. My story.

Maybe I don't have the right words (yet), but the story is there. The story is waiting. You just have to look for it.

I am the packiest of rats.

I have a confession. This is something not very many people know about me. Are you ready? Okay...

...I'm a pack rat.

[Definition: a person who saves unnecessary objects or hoards things.]

The evidence to support this statement is as follows [numbers on list coordinate with pictures]:

[my camera sucks so I apologize for the horrible photo quality...]

1. My bookshelf that doesn't just hold books. Please take note of my Kenz shrine/memory shelf, dance shelf, and Divergent poster (peeking in the top left corner).

2. Collection of used gift cards.

3. Stack of old American Girl doll catalogs and magazines.

4. Bags left over from gift exchanges and shopping trips.

5. Boxes from gifts [I have a ton more of those American Girl doll boxes stashed in the storage portion of my desk] + some trinkets I had lying around [yes that is an owl. and yes, I did make that myself].

6. Saved jewelry and boxes from Apple.

7. Shoe box full of mini boxes, gum wrappers, and who knows what else (and beneath that I have a box full of tissue paper. I really, really love tissue paper).

8. Another container full of trinkets.

9. And lots more...

So there you have it. I, Rose, am a pack rat. But even so, my room is rather clean - if I do say so myself. I keep my collections of stuff neatly stacked, most of it tucked away in my closet. I like having so many boxes and trinkets because when Christmas time comes around, it allows me the creative freedom I need when packaging my gifts. :)

This post was fun. I hope you enjoyed learning this wacky fact about me. :D

Thank you for reading. <3
